In this key role, the Children’s Wear Designer Intern will support the Little Moony design team by contributing to the development of seasonal collections, assisting with production, and bringing fresh ideas to the brand. This internship offers hands-on experience and a unique opportunity to grow in the world of premium children’s fashion.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1) Creative Design & Research

1. Assist in creating mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings for seasonal collections.

2. Conduct research on children’s fashion trends, sustainable fabrics, and colors to inspire innovative designs.

3. Collaborate on design narratives that align with Little Moony’s ethos of joy, comfort, and sustainability.

2) Sample Production & Quality Control

1. Participate in pattern-making and sample production processes to develop prototypes.

2. Provide feedback during fittings to ensure designs meet quality, fit, and aesthetic standards.

3. Support the production team in maintaining craftsmanship excellence.

3) Collaboration & Brand Storytelling

1. Work closely with marketing to align designs with brand campaigns and retail visuals.

2. Assist in creating compelling product descriptions and merchandising strategies.

3. Contribute to brand presentations and ensure new collections reflect our vision.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for children’s fashion, sustainability, and teamwork. Specifically, we seek a candidate who demonstrates the following:

1) Creativity & Design Skills

1. Strong interest in fashion design, particularly in children’s wear.

2. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design tools.

2) Organization & Attention to Detail

1. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with precision.

3) Technical Knowledge

1. Basic understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and pattern-making is a plus.

4) Communication Skills

1. Ability to articulate ideas clearly and work collaboratively with a dynamic team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a fashion design program.

2. A portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity (required).

3. Strong organizational and time-management skills.

4. Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
